How to Search Camden County Recorder of Deeds Records Online
Camden County uses the iCounty Recorder of Deeds Online Search system.
A registered free user can search document-index information such as grantor, grantee, recording date and an abbreviated legal description.
Viewing deed images and using additional services may require payment or a subscription.
-
Open Camden County’s official search portal
Go directly to the county’s iCounty login page.
Open Camden County deed search ↗After opening: Select Register if you are a new user. Existing users can sign in with their email address and password.
-
Create a free registered account
Follow the registration instructions to create your account.
The county states that free registration permits index searches without requiring a paid monthly subscription.
-
Search by the recorded owner’s name
Use the person’s name or another party associated with the document.
The Recorder explicitly says its document-copy searches use owner names, not parcel numbers or street addresses.
-
Review the index results
Compare grantor and grantee names, recording dates, document types and available legal-description details.
Do not assume a record belongs to the correct property just because the same name appears.
-
Get the document image if needed
Review the paid image-access options on the portal or contact the Recorder for a copy.
Record the identifying information so the office can locate the document more efficiently.
Camden County’s official page makes this distinction. If you only need to confirm a recorded instrument exists, the free index may be sufficient.
If you need to read the full deed, review the image-access pricing before purchasing a subscription.
Understand the search costs
Camden County iCounty Search: Free Account vs. Paid Images
The public iCounty login page publishes several access options.
These are vendor access prices, separate from the Recorder’s government recording fees.
The portal also lists separate document-image purchase and printing charges. Prices depend on the chosen subscription.
Checking one deed: Start with the free account and identify the recording before buying access.
Researching several records in one day: Review the single-day option.
Regular title or document research: Compare monthly options with your expected usage.

Recording workflow
How to Record a Deed in Camden County, Missouri
Recording a deed requires a properly prepared legal instrument and compliance with Missouri’s recording standards.
The Recorder accepts land instruments for recording but does not determine whether a particular deed is appropriate for your transaction.
-
Prepare the correct deed
Use a deed that matches the intended ownership transfer.
Confirm the grantor, grantee, full legal description and any necessary prior-recording references.
-
Check signatures and acknowledgment
Ensure execution and notarization meet the applicable legal requirements.
Missouri recording standards also require names to be printed, typed or stamped beneath signatures where applicable.
-
Check document formatting
Standard documents should use suitable paper, clear dark printing and the required margins.
Missouri generally requires a three-inch top margin on the first page and at least three-quarter-inch margins elsewhere.
-
Calculate the recording fee
Count the number of pages and apply Camden County’s current fee schedule.
Check for a nonstandard-document fee if your document does not meet the normal specifications.
-
Submit the document
Deliver the document to the Recorder’s Office or use an accepted mailing or electronic-recording route.
Keep the recording receipt and reference for later verification.
Camden County includes property around Lake of the Ozarks, where subdivisions, lot descriptions and prior recorded plats can matter.
A street address alone is not a substitute for the legally required description in a deed.
After opening: Review the page-size, margin, first-page information and signature requirements before submitting your deed.

Common problems
Camden County Deed Search & Recording Troubleshooting
I only know a street address. How do I find the deed?
Use the Assessor’s GIS system to identify the current owner. Then search the Recorder’s index using the owner name.
The free account shows a deed listing but not the image.
This is expected. Camden County’s free registered account provides index information. Actual document images may require paid access or a copy request.
I cannot find my deed in the search results.
Try previous owners, alternate spellings and a different recording-date range. Contact the Recorder if you need help with the index.
My document may not meet formatting rules.
Check Missouri Revised Statutes §59.310 and the county’s fee notes. Nonstandard documents can incur an additional $25 charge.
I need to change a name on a recorded deed.
An existing recorded document generally cannot simply be edited by Recorder staff. A properly prepared corrective or new instrument may be required.
My property has a mortgage that was paid off.
Search for a later recorded release or satisfaction instrument. The original financing document normally remains part of the historical record.
